Where to Start?

I played soccer competitively through high school and stayed active through college.

But after having three boys I gained weight.  I didn't worry about it too much.

Except I felt fat.  And weak.

Mom took a picture of me holding Henry.  I don't look happy.  And my middle is big.  Every time I see this picture I inwardly cringe.

I feel like every picture I see of Mom with one of us, she is beaming, smiling, beautiful.

I want to be like that.  I want my kids to see a smiling happy Momma.  Not a Mom who is looking at the ground while holding them, a slight scowl her face.

That was the picture that made me pause and decide that I was going to change.

My fitness journey started not only with a desire to look better, but to feel happier.  To enjoy the moment I am in.  Part of living life to the fullest for me, includes moving and living and enjoying.  Fitness and loosing weight wasn't about achieving a size or a pounds lost sign.  It was about finding the inner competitive confident soccer player self that I missed so much from high school.

Fitness Journey

I have had a lot of thoughts about my fitness journey lately.  I kind of want to post on several thoughts that have helped me become my strong confident self again.

Birth Control
Intuitive Eating
Beauty Redefined
Exercising to loose weight
I am Attractive
What Exercise Works for Me and How
Collette and Suzie, My Before and After
Pinterest, Pros and Cons
What Food I Love
Emotional Eating
Distracted Eating
Middle Ground--Why does loss have to be huge to be impressive?

Some of these thoughts will overlap.

Not Exactly Private

I have been wanting to post all sorts of thoughts that aren't exactly what my family wants to be reading on my real blog, Little Woman.  So I decided to keep a private blog on the side where I get to think out loud about whatever it is.  Loosely based on fitness.

I know it isn't as private as keeping a journal but I love the posting style of blogging, and typing seems to be my favorite way of posting thoughts lately.  No more walking through trees with my journal in hand looking for the right feeling to write.  Nope, I have realized that my life has changed, and I need to be able to write whenever  I feel the need.  Taking off for moments of isolation are still desired, but impractical with three boys and husband.

Speaking of boys and husband, anyone want to make us dinner tonight?
